This place was wonderful!!! My husband and I were looking for a place to spend a date night, and he suggested Round1. We had gone here to play billiards before, but were unsure of anything else they had there. Come to find out, they had karaoke rooms available to rent!!! My husband and I were able to go late afternoon in the middle of the week and rent out a karaoke room for one hour for only $16!!! The karaoke was easy to figure out: you could either 1) use their karaoke machine app to play songs from the system OR 2) you could hook it up to your bluetooth and do it from your own library!!! All in all, we had a WONDERFUL time and we will definitely be back!!! If you’re looking for a place to go on a date night, a night out with friends, or even to host a party, this is the place! Please come here if you can!

Comparing to other Round1s, this one unfortunately has many of the games on max volume (or the acoustics are just bad in general) , which had my Apple Watch go crazy several times. I feel bad for the employees who have to work in such a noisy environment.
But noise aside, the venue is good and selection of games excellent.

Round1 is our favorite spot in San Antonio. We come every couple of weeks. The club membership is $5 a year and gives you good value. Highly recommend it. The best part of Round1 are the wonderful staff members who are always so kind and helpful. Tonight in particular, David C went out of his way to help us. Thank you. We will be back soon!

Had an awesome time at round 1 tonight!
I went with my family and we spent about 200 ?
the staff was super nice and understanding of our lack of knowledge on how to play the claw machine games! And even sat with us to help us play them, the bigger claw machine didn't seem to work well tho I tried 5 times with staff help and still couldn't win anything ?
The hungry hippo was also broken but it always is lol, it really is one of the best arcades still and I definitely recommend going!!

Been here 3 times in a week. Definitely a fun place to bring friends and family. It is like a Dave and Busters. Recommended for anyone.

honestly don't think it is fair to leave a 1 star review based off one particular (new) claw machine (installed sometime this week 26aug-29aug) but this needs to be brought to the attention of management and hopefully prevent a few folks from being scammed.
Overall, I would give Round 1 (claw machines) a solid 4/5. A decent variety of styles, plushes, figures ect.. The staff can be helpful at times, but depending on who you talk to, they enforce the "I can only reset to the start position rule". Sometimes the box gets in a very difficult position to win and sometimes it just needs a small nudge to a side to make it possible and some staff will help while others will fully restart your progress as told by their management.
I lived in Japan for 12 years and got quite good at all types of claw machines so I don't mind a little challenge or the precision types. I posted a few pics of the figures I have won over the last few months to show this isn't a "oh he's a sore loser so he left a bad review" kind of thing. And I also very often help or even win prizes for other that are struggling while I'm there.
I am here to say there is one particular machine that is a full-blown scam. When I asked the staff and proved it was impossible (certain prizes) she said, "yeaaahh, we know. It's part of the machine and we are not allowed to assist in any way, or we get in trouble."
All of this leads to the scam machine. (last picture)
I am considering this a full-blown scam based off 2 reasons. Firstly, I should explain how to win. You move the yellow rod over the box and when you release, the rod goes down and pushes the prize. Now it's jammed between two poles and when the sensor receives pushback, it stops. This is intended and very money consuming, however, winnable. (not a scam)
What makes this a scam is the set up, positioning and stability of the pole.
The prize with the red circle is literally impossible to win because the will only go so far to the left AND back before it fully stops by itself. Preventing you from any real strategy. Part of the game? Sure. However, the red "X" at the top shows that the belt which is attached to the yellow rod hits the boxes and will not let you go back. Completely stops you so if the prize is at the top of the silver poles, you will not even hit it. Finally, even using the machines full potential, I showed the staff how far it was able to go and when it hit the prize with the red circle, because it is at an angle and the yellow rod is not sturdy, it simply slides off without the slightest nudge of progress. It works on some of the prizes in these types of machines but not all and that's what I tried to explain to the staff. She understood but reiterated that she is unable to help AT ALL. I won the middle prize (figurizma purple box) to prove that I knew what I was talking about because the box was lower down the rails. When they are high up the rails and on the side furthest from the yellow pole, it is impossible.
I'm sorry this is long but this machine is a scam. No other way to put it. And the fact that the management knowingly admits to it is a massive problem and unacceptable.

My husband and I came to this arcade mainly out of curiosity to check out the dance machines hes heard so much about. Pleasantly surprised to find out there was karaoke and good food and drinks to try.
We booked the karaoke room for an hour just to try it out and had a blast singing along to some of our favorite songs. However after a while we heard commotion from the room beside us (assuming from a party) ranging from immature horseplay to insensitive mocking of our song choices. Normally we wouldn't have let it bother us but they started making inappropriate sounds into their microphones and trying to open our side door that connects the rooms. We chose to bring this up to management, not to be tattletales but because they were inappropriate. Within minutes the issue was handled and they apologized for the experience. While it was no issue to us and we're just glad it was resolved, we were more than surprised at the speed and promptness of them handling the issue. It was very much appreciated. Melody came in and took care of us like a hero! Overall great experience and we will be coming back to enjoy more that this place has to offer.
